Geoelectric Signature of Gold Mineralization in the Alta Floresta Gold Province, Mato Grosso State, Brazil

The Alta Floresta Gold Province (PAAF) is abundant in gold deposits and, located the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, an ideal place to study geoelectric signature mineralization. Auriferous mineralization occurs along shear zones quartz veins and disseminated granites this region. Ores are associated with oxides sulfides, mainly pyrites. To identify primary or continuities mineralized zones, data were acquired using geophysical methods electrical resistivity induced polarization three mines: Raimunda, Truilio, Porteira. Dipole–dipole arrays electrode spacings 20 25 m used investigate up 100 depth. Resistivity chargeability range scales developed statistical analyses all geological data. models Raimunda Truilio mines showed coherence boreholes, but Porteira mine not coherent boreholes. parameters indicated that lithotypes (soils, saprolites, monzogranites) could be characterized identified as potential targets. soils ranged from 1000 8000 ohm.m, saprolites had values 150 800 monzogranite 1100 9000 ohm.m. targets 18 35 mV/V. results confirm efficiency find sulfides Province.
